How do you know the bride?

Nini and I met on Sunday, 1st November 2015, where Nini arrived feeling rather worse for wear (ie. Nini was hanging like a wizard’s sleeve post a Halloween shindig she had been to the evening before). I had been told by mutual friends who put us in touch with one another when I moved across to Singapore, that Nini was a slightly reserved individual and that I might be a bit much for her to handle… how mistaken they were. Nins and I were practically inseparable for the year that I spent in Singapore and I firmly believe this is why my year was as magical as it was! We spent hours chatting, eating, dancing, travelling, drinking, face-masking, hair-braiding and just making the most of life together. Despite us living on different continents for the past 3 years, Nini is still my go-to person for everything and undoubtedly my voice of reason. I have told Nini on many occasions that she is my soulmate and this shall be the case until we grow old and haggard together (and she finally starts to age).

What advice would you give the groom?

Ching my boy, don’t you ever forget how lucky you are! People say this quite flippantly, but I truly mean it. You have a human with a heart bigger than anyone I know and someone who is going to love you intensely forever. She is one of a kind for all of her hangry moments; her ability to dictate incorrect directions with more conviction than anyone I know; providing the best advice in difficult situations; her unshakable loyalty and wisdom on par with that of the Willow tree from Pocahontas (which we all know she gets from her mom). Apart from remembering how lucky you are, don’t just be good to her… be the guy who made her one million origami stars at all times.
